March 20, 2023 – Toronto – Today, Ecopia AI (Ecopia) and Neptune Flood announce the integration of Ecopia’s Building-Based Geocoding into Neptune Flood’s consumer-facing risk underwriting engines.
Powered by the first and only complete map of buildings in the United States, Ecopia’s Building-Based Geocoding will enable Neptune Flood customers to search a nationwide database of over 240 million primary and secondary addresses as part of the quotation process. Ecopia’s type-ahead functionality will simplify the address input process, improving the user experience as customers and agents shop for insurance quotes.
Neptune is committed to working with best-in-class data providers to enhance the user experience and the results of their proprietary ‘Triton AI’ underwriting engine. This partnership will allow Neptune to further refine and validate the geospatial analysis performed within its artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) models, resulting in superior accuracy in risk selection, pricing, and disaggregation.
“Neptune Flood was founded to bring advanced technology to the insurance industry and drive innovation in property insurance,” said Neptune CEO Trevor Burgess. “We are proud that our partnership with an industry-leading company like Ecopia can push the boundaries of AI-driven underwriting to create next-generation flood insurance solutions for our customers.”
“Ecopia is excited to work with Neptune Flood as they deliver innovative flood insurance solutions to their customers,” said Jai Mehra, Business Development and Strategy Associate at Ecopia. “We curate our Building-Based Geocoding product to be the source of truth for every property in the US, and are thrilled to see Neptune Flood leverage its accuracy to improve the user experience and quoting process for their customers.”
