Ecopia AI to Support San Bernardino County Planning Initiatives Including Multi-Modal Transportation and Accessibility

May 04, 2022 -- Ecopia AI is pleased to announce an initiative to deliver high-precision vector mapping data to San Bernardino Transportation Authority (SBCTA), in support of planning major transportation corridor projects (including sidewalk inventory), compliance with accessibility regulations (such as the Americans with Disabilities Act), and the completion of other mass transit initiatives.‍

SBCTA is responsible for cooperative regional planning and furthering multi-modal transportation systems across San Bernardino County - and access to accurate, comprehensive and up-to-date data regarding transportation infrastructure is fundamental to these objectives. To support these goals, Ecopia leveraged its AI-based mapping system to mine high-resolution geospatial imagery - outputting a highly-accurate vector map including features such as roads, medians, sidewalks, bike lanes, street trees, truncated domes, and other required geospatial information.
